52 Pick-me-up: Topaz / Enlightenment / Courage

•••
Today, a rainbow vomited all over me:
I had pulled the leggings for TOPAZ week, but was having trouble styling them.
Why not go full pattern on pattern?
Time will tell if this look leaves the back patio.
Courage, right?

How about the shoes????
I have been bragging on Pinterest and Facebook about these treasures.
Snagged Friday at a local charity shop (Silver Lining on Washington Blvd in Culver City) for $60.
They are the most beautifully made pair of footwear I have ever handled.
Handmade in El Paso by Tres Outlaws, they are still available new online for $2500!!!!!
Yes, they are alligator and yes, they are slightly creepy. And they have extra long pointy toes.
This video came to mind when I tried them on:

I'll be linking with Patti's Visible Monday.

iSpy: Endless Jewelry Double Wrap Bracelet

PRESS SAMPLE/
I was sent a complementary Endless Jewelry Double Wrap bracelet with 3 charms to review.
Words, photos, and opinions are all my own and not vetted by Endless.
I received a "coral" leather Endless double wrap in the mail and my immediate thoughts were: burnt orange? Purple and turquoise charms? Blingy daisy charm? The next day I tried it on (not initially figuring out the clever magnetic clasp) first as a bracelet (okaaaaay) and then as a choker necklace. And discovered that it was REALLY COMFORTABLE! [I have "computer neck" and can't tolerate much in the way of necklaces for extended periods]. I kind of liked it! And the color looked OK against my complexion.

So now to shoot some nice photos for a post. What to match it with? [Checks closet]

The Desigual shirt!
So pleased with it all, I wore it to the last day of class on Saturday:
See my joy? Shot after home from teaching.
End of Summer Semester. YES!
Some close-ups:
"Hey, how about me?"
Thanks Endless!
Here's some of their own verbiage:

I was sent a coral double wrap (value $70), with two enamel charms (value $50 each, currently unavailable), and a peridot flower charm (value $95).

52 Pick-me-up: Tight On!

PURCHASED/ PURLOINED/LINKS/
Hopefully you are aware that I've been circumnavigating the US. (As this posts, I'll be in Portland, OR.) What happens when I sit in the car for more than 8 hours a day? A whole lot of snacking! When I made my list of 52 Pick-me-up prompts, I knew I'd be near the end of my trip and that I would probably be "a little bit bigger". Am I? I'm not sure, everything I packed is either stretchy (yay yoga pants purloined from work) or oversized (tunics are the best and I sewed two more while I was at my mom's).
One item that maybe is a bit more snug is this Desigual tunic shirt:
This was shot a month ago in Providence, RI.
Notice I don't have the shirt buttoned.
Oh those Spanish designers and their glorious prints and devilish small sizing.

So, This week's prompt is: Uptight/alright: wear that thing that’s a little too small
Link and tell!

Pattern Max - #OOTD

On Friday, I reached a new level of pattern maxing:
Light orange, turquoise, and brown.
I can't explain why it works (some complicated color theory reason, no doubt) but it does.

Last night, I tried this:
Desigual shirt, Dorothee Bis skirt
Lurid tropical + brown zig zag... Yes!
Since I was working an art reception, I made an extra effort and decorated my arm.
I've said it before, I mix patterns like a painter mixes paint. Put me on a diet of "all solids" and I would go MAD!
Happy patterny Sunday, everyone.

To the Max - #OOTD

Comfortable and bright. Scrounged the maxi cotton/spandex knit tank dress from the sample box at work. I am SO lucky! I'm road testing it at work to see if I trip on the stairs in it. So far, I'm safe from self harm.
